The 2008 Stay Strong Stephen Murray Trails Benefit Jam @ Alianos

After the overwhelming success of last year's Benefit Jam for Stephen Murray, we'd like to invite everyone back to Alianos trails on Saturday August 30th 2008. As the one year anniversary of Stephen's accident has just passed, the whole BMX community is invited to come along and ride some of the best trails in the UK and help raise some much needed money for Stephen and his family.

The venue is Aliano's trails which are normally on an invite only basis, but for one day only (Saturday August 30th, 12 - 6pm), these trails will be open to anyone and everyone. This is the place where Stephen first started to ride trails over ten years ago and are considered to be one of the top trail spots in the UK. The after Jam Party will take place at The Marrs Bar in Worcester from 8pm til late.
So, what you waiting for? Trails, music, raffle, prizes, good times for good causes. Get a crew together and head to Worcester on August 30th, its gonna be special....

Harrow 'Death of' Vid...

Daniel 'the DD' Dolan has done it again, with this spot on web clip from last weeks Harrow Jam. Captures the riding, the riders, Daysons DJ'ing, the bike jumping and most of all the atmosphere.....spot on. Harrow you will be missed, lets hope they replace it with bigger and badder!

Rolling Harrovians...

Good old Dunk just sent through some cheeky snaps he took at last weeks Harrow Jam. 

This transfer Rikki is doing is 'tuff', and only the brave survive [as one rider found out - split lip, cut face and knees and 9 spokes missing!]. Lets hope whatever they build in its place has the ridiculous amounts of wacky transfers that the old 70's hellhole has....

Empire update...

The course is built, a few sneaky cheat runs have been had, and fear has been brought to the riders!! 

With only a week to go, the course pics are up and circulating the world wide web, perhaps causing a few people to re-think their current bike set ups [eh Robin!!].

Noggin protection vid...

A few weeks back, Toby 40 held the Protect your Noggin Jam at the infamous Decoy trails. The Jam was to support the charity Headway, of which Toby is a huge supporter.

It was a good, chilled weekend, with some real good friends..

Dolan pulled out the pan pipes and the editing equipment and produced the vid below...[nice one DD]..

Harrow Rikki Jam...

The infamous 'Solid Surf' Harrow skatepark that was born in the 70's is finally for the chop [bigger and better things in planning stages!]. To celebrate the final days of the park, a Jam was arranged and top fun was had by all [all 300+ riders].

A few standouts were the 'most in the bowls at once comp', the 'jump over bikes comp' and the 'stop the local ruffnecks knicking all the red bull comps'!.

Another standout, was Rikki Gunner. Rikki rides Harrow different from anyone else, with all kinds of lines and transfers [concrete trails], and at the Jam was no exception. Rikki was avin it all over the place....

Unfortunately proceedings were brought to a halt, by these bloody lot. The boys in blue were called, and were usuless as usual. Bloody youth of today!!!

Face burner...

Im sure not many of us out there have actually burnt our face, while mid air, mid trick!! Well one person has...and yes you guessed right, Matt Priest [ta raaas!]. While at the Masters, in practice, Matt threw down one of his signature old school no handers [the ones that are held for 4 days!] and it was so stretched that his front tyre burnt his cheek!!

I know what your thinking....but no it didnt stop his antics with the young female germans!! rudeboy!!

Matt done good...

BMX Masters are done. Dirt set up was nuts!! [found a little trick tip for building event jumps - look out NASS 09!!!]. Big hitters were in the house [Bohan, Parslow, Canina, Mihelich, Pinter, Ellis, Guettler etc], and the UK big dogs showed up and had some too [Lima, Bob, McGeary - go on my son..and Matt Priest].

Top 18 [out of 40+ riders] qualified, and Matt rolled in at 9th! A night out, a few nerves and a some double whips later our boy ended up finishing 12th. What a result!! Good on ya Priesty.....
